It's a curl up on the couch and sleep for 5 hours kinda day: Every time Essie's all curled up and sleeping and clearly at her most cutest I turn to my husband and ask "Can we get another?"
Wisely he always says "Wait til she wakes up then see if you still want another."
Excuse me while I laugh... a lot.... .......... .............
Okay, I think I've caught my breath now.
The only way I've survived having 5 dogs is that 4 of them are small - under 20 pounds. So they don't take up that much space. Also, Rascal is older, so he doesn't have all that puppy playfulness in him anymore. Most days, I feel like a dog-rancher. Just play the Rawhide song behind me as I count heads to make sure all have made it back inside....
I think I would die if I had 2 or more larger breed playful puppy dogs.

I want another, too. Of course, it's a lot easier when your first dog weighs 20 lbs!
