Final Contest Winner!

It's been a ton of fun giving out the little prizes this month and hearing all you guys great comments. Maybe I'll attempt it again for some other holidays. St. Patricks beer extravaganza, or Valentines quiver full of gifts.

Well the last winner is Christy at Christy and David with:

I am thankful for my students, especially my choir girls. They have gotten excited about singing, held on to something that I'm passionate about, and asked for more. They've opened up and trusted me, and let me be the shoulder they cry on and the one they share their joys with first. They truly are the reason I do want I do, and I am thankful that I can look forward to going to work.

Just e-mail me with your address at sabrinarichard at live.com and I'll send that on to the maker. Enjoy the thank you notes and good luck in planning your Disney wedding.

Giveaway-Last Chance ever!

Man you guys have made picking a winner super hard. I had to consult with both my best friend and my hubby (the first of which is good at picking the super sentimental ones, the later likes to use random number generators). And we have decided that the winner of the cute little peony hair brooch is Megan Teegarden with:

I love that flower pin! It is too cute!! But honestly I used to work in a nursing home and I still go back to visit here and there and when I saw this I pictured this little old lady there that loves to put little pins in her hair and she would just absolutely love that little pin! I can see her wearing something like that!! So cute!

So just e-mail me with your address at sabrinarichard at live.com and they'll get it out to you soon.

And since I am heading home this weekend I figured I'd better start the contest for the last and final contest. This one is really cool and probably worth all those times of losing (sorry, I wish I had a cool present for everyone. Well I could give you all some snow, we have too much of that).

This is an adorable Thank You card kit from Ink Drop Design. The first card of theirs that caught my eye was this cranberry bird sitting on a branch.

Realizing; however, that the last thing anyone wants after the Holidays are a bunch of cards for next year I perused their other options and found some amazing Thank You Cards. Let's face facts, we can always use more Thank You Cards.

This one is a set of 10, designed so that you could add a favorite wedding picture to. To win these cute cards you just have to leave a comment saying what you are thankful for. I'll do my best to pick a winner before the 24th but I have a funny feeling you guys are gonna make this one the hardest of all.

My entry for these pretty cards is that I am thankful for all of my wonderful blog readers and commenters. You guys entertain and make this blogging land a much more cozy place than I could have ever imagined.

Giveaway-Week 3

This weeks pretty little present is less Christmas and more wedding related. It's a gorgeous Peony flower with a blue crystal in the middle for your hair from the talented Angel Hearts.
She has some amazing hair bouquets (check out this funky thing), so many it was hard to choose this one. But I could see it working quite well for a time after the wedding, especially if say you're attending another summer one and want a little flower for your hair.

I was thinking at first of having everyone say their best wedding moment to win this pretty little thing, but after mulling it over I realized that everyones best wedding moment deserves something special.

So instead how about we try for what you would use the pretty flower for (though you can still include a great wedding moment as well).

Another change, since I kinda forgot Christmas is a Thursday this contest ends on Wednesday and the next one starts on Thursday. So you best think of your entries quickly.

Christmas Giveaway-Week Two

Hey everyone. I'm really really excited about this weeks little present. So much so that I had to get one for myself.
It's from Crazy K Bath & Body and its 4 little pieces of coal that conveniently turn into soap whenever you need to wash your hands. The four I'm giving away are in a wonderful Christmas candy cane scent.

The one I got for myself is the Cozy Christmas scent which reminds me of eggnog. The smell is great and it leaves my hands so soft. They'd make a great little stocking stuffer or a fun addition to any bathroom for the holidays. Also, they hold up so well I'm sure they'd last for quite a few years.

I actually first stumbled upon these great soaps when I caught sight of this. Really you just have to check out the link to see how awesome they are. They look so realistic I just want to eat them all up.

So the challenge this week, in keeping with the coal theme (but not the soap theme these things are so cool) I want to hear the worst gift ever. Could be given to you (or if you're more daring from you), to a relative, or just something you've heard in passing over the breakfast table.

Once again you have til Friday then I'll announce the winner on Saturday. I also still ask that only those in the US enter (okay unless you have the funniest story ever). So get cracking on the funniest/worst gifts given.

Giveaway Winner-Week 1

After much deliberating with my best friend and MOH we've decided that the winner of the earrings is Julie with the entry:
"My best friend got me an electric blanket for my little girl, one very very cold winter. This may not sound like much but she is asthmatic and her chest really kicks off in the winter-time. My heating was down and I had spent all my spare money on buying basic furniture after my long time ago ex boyfriend decided he would strip my home after I kicked him out for extremely bad behaviour. So my best friend bought the electric blanket to keep my daughter warm at night, so she didn't have an asthma attack. This guy has also literally saved my life, again a few years ago and it is down to him where I am today. The heating was soon sorted out and I've made a good recovery and moved my life forward but this man is amazing! He saved my life and he saved my daughter from a trip to hospital. I'll never forget what he has done for us."

Just e-mail me at sabrinarichard at live.com with your address and I'll send it off.

All of the entries were great and it was really hard to pick a winner (that's why I made my best friend do it). Everyone check back on Monday for the next gift (and a more entertaining than heart warming challenge).

Christmas Giveaway-first week

You folks all heard me right, in trying to get with the holiday season I've decided to highlight and give away some of the neatest things I've found from etsy.com

But I'm not a big fan of the random picking winner as I have the luck of a fish in the desert when it comes to these things. So I'm gonna ask you guys to work for your supper a bit. That can wait, first I want to show you what will be given away this week.

These gorgeous earrings are created by the talented Classy Castle. What really drew me in were not only the amazing colors of the jewerly she makes but this year she has a lovetoPIF shop. The PIF stands for "Pay It Forward" where she is only charging shipping and handling on these bad boys but she asks that you in exchange do something nice.

So in keeping with that fantastic idea my challenge for those pretty little green earrings is for you to leave a comment saying what was the nicest thing someone ever did for you.

It can be as simple or as complicated or as funny as you can think of. I'll have a different friend judge the entries each week so strategizing won't really work.

You have until this friday when I'll announce the winner. And then next monday I'll unveil the next fun prize.

So don't forget, something nice someone did for you.

And . . . . . Go!

First Ever Giveaway Christmas Contest!

Hey all you Black Friday warriors (or those that are just locked up in a nice cozy house with a laptop) I have something really surprising to share with you.

I am a huge fan of giving gifts and as a thank you for putting up with my insanity this year I've decided to have a little giveaway every week in December. That means 4 cool gifts that I have found and love so much I just had to share with 4 lucky winners.

They're all something that I have personally bought, so no free advertising from big corporations.

I do ask that only those in the US enter as shipping is already evil enough (which makes me sad as I know a few overseas bloggers I'd love to have get a little something, oh well).

Check back on Monday for the first little surprise contest and the challenge. Til then, have a nice relaxing holiday weekend.
