Kids are damn adorable

This is probably my 30th post about the kids and the things they got up to at the wedding, but each time I see new pictures it just makes me laugh and I just had to make up some axioms to go with it.

They were so concerned about the cake, these two kept sneaking over to make sure that it still hadn't been cut yet.

Even with all that candy around there was still always the promise of cake, so remember to look towards the future but at the same time count on what you have in your hands.

Two fisting the candy. Why try just one when you can have two?

The kids warmed up the dance floor by um well falling on top of each other.

Dance as though no one were watching. But if they are make it look like the funnest thing in the world.

After a bad night, there's always a good friend a phone call away.

Kids provide weddings with laughs, joy, and a nice sticky goo.

Cute pictures

These are some early pictures before the wedding and then during that I just love.

This was at the dress salon, he was having a ton of fun playing with the sunglasses and the mirror.
While everyone was getting ready and dressed he told me that I had to take a picture of his drinks.
And well I just love the picture of her about to throw her shoes away.

A young romance

Weddings are a time of friendship and love. It's also a major subplot for a lot of romantic comedies.

Well we had a romance begin to bud at our wedding. It all started at the rehearsal. The boy was a bit late but as soon as he arrived and saw the girl it was magic. They kept staring at each other and running off together.

At one point, during the rehearsed line up, the two of them sat at the back on the stairs and put their arms around each other.

It became even more sealed the next day as the wedding began. When not taking pictures the two of them were found hiding in a back pew writing notes to each other. And though they walked down the aisle okay together he started to act a bit to immature for her.

Luckily all was forgiven once the reception started and the two of them bonded again over all the sweets on the table. Then when they saw the chance they made a B-line for the dance floor (long before we were even thinking to have our first dance) and even switched the suckers in their mouths while dancing.

And who are these two crazy little love birds? Why it would be our 3 year old Ring Bearer and the 5 year old flower girl. Don't believe me? Here are some pictures to prove it:

They were writing notes to each other. Though the flower girls started as "Dear Santa"

Uh oh, caught!

The ceremony. Look in the background. Though I will say that even though he was running around a bit he was dead quiet the whole time.

The candy was a huge success. Well at least for anyone younger than 5.

Ah young love. Maybe we'll have to celebrate their wedding next.

Better than the Dollar Dance

For our "favors" we took a tootsie pop sucker, added a kleenex to it, tied a ribbon around it and added a cool ghost face.

You know, a ghost sucker.

Well at some point we found out that our little flower girl (aka the 5 year old) decided she had to do something with those

So she gathered all the extras in a bag and then she started selling them to the guests for a dollar each.
In the end she made $11 and a quarter before she tried hitting us up.

I think we have a little ticket scalper in the making here.

Fun for all the kiddies

We'd never even thought about having a kid free wedding. It just isn't us or really our wedding. Ours is gonna be less elegant and more candy-fueled randomness.

But as we all know weddings can be incredibly boring for the young, so last night we headed off to the dollar store and got ourselves some fun stuff to play with. (You can buy a wedding table activity set but ours was more fun to collect and cost under $5). The three coloring/activity books are completely different. One is more for the really young kids as it's just random pictures (and I mean random, one page is a GI Joe stealing a bunch of blocks and next to it is a T-rex), another one has a story to each page (which is extremely entertaining to read apparently a cricket and a bee hook up or something), and the last one has Batman. Batman!

They didn't have true Play-Doh but instead a lovely 6 pack of Magic Dough. Call me crazy but I kinda doubt the kids are going to be all that brand savvy, at least not when they can play with it and make a total mess of their dressy clothes (good thing they'll all be in costume, eh).

I was thinking after watching my 3 year old ring bearer it'd also be really cool to get them all some temporary tattoos, which we could spend a ton of money to get them with our names on them but I'd rather just get the kids some Spider-Man or Dora. Got to make some cute pictures of kids just covered in fake tattoos right?

Hopefully the kids, in between stealing all the candy to get super sugared up, will have some fun and color a cute picture to share with everyone (if we're given any they are so going into the scrapbook).
