Hurray pictures are here!

I finally got the last of the pro pics including the coveted receptions ones. We also got all the ceremony proofs that they didn't use and I just had to share two I found hilarious:
I have no idea what the hell we're doing here but it sure looks like fun.
Kids, gotta love 'em.

And now for the reception pictures. There are so many fun ones it'll take me a few days to show them all off.
The best part of having a costume reception, everyone gets really into it (though they may just be drunk)
My Mother went all out, but I really love my face up in the corner. I have no idea what I was doing but it sure looks scary.
How many brides can say they had to draw on their flower girls boob for the wedding?
Showing off my fabulous tail. You can tell just how proud I am, though that thing was a pain in the ass to sit on.

I'll end for now on my all time favorite picture, two kids covered in sugary goo going in for more.

Oops

In flipping through the ol' archive I realized that I never did share the rest of the pictures from our little day after picture shoot (If you want to see the first post it's here) And I may add I'm still waiting for the rest of the pro ones, do de do:
I call this the "I will be in charge of the remote" stare.
What you don't know about this picture, just outside the screen there's a family of bears sitting on the table having a picnic. I told them to avoid the blond girl.

On the count of three we rush the camera. One . . . two . . . THREE!

We tried to recreate the whole kissing under the veil look, though it wasn't actually my veil.
As you can see, we failed horribly at it.

For reasons that escape me we felt like we just had to mimic american gothic. It was funny at the time, I swear.
After a long day of taking pictures we both needed a nap. Ignore the fact that my husband looks like a corpse.

Okay now go enter this weeks contest down below. Chop chop.

Random pictures part 30

I've been going through trying to oomph some of my favorite wedding pictures. These are what I've gotten done so far:
If anyone is curious how I did it, feel free to leave a comment or e-mail me. I think my favorite so far was making the fake watercolor one.

More texture

I'm just having too much fun, trying out different ideas and texturing the textures:

Texture

Jenna at That Bride yesterday posted a tutorial on how to texturize a photo and I thank her from the bottom of my heart for it.

I've done a bit of messing around with photoshop in my spare time but I've never tried to add texture to a picture before, til now:

This was my first attempt. I used some grass and weeds behind and of course dropped the saturation like a stone. For a comparison this is what the original looked like.

I wanted to see what I could do with this favorite picture of my tall flower girl:

She's got some gorgeous water hidden behind her. I also played that up by making the background a lot bluer. Here is the original for a comparison.

This last one was a bit more work but I wanted to try something a bit outside of my comfort zone:
This was my layer extrodinare as I wanted to make it look like we were made out of flames but not the whole picture. It involved a lot of boring rearanging, copying, and erasing that I am sure you don't care about. But the original is this.

I can't wait to try a few others, especially once I hopefully get in the rest of the reception pictures (this waiting thing really sucks). I have some really cool Halloween ideas.

Once again thanks so much Jenna, and you guys really got to go check out her tutorial.

My own kidnapping

Hello, police? We seem to have had a bride get kidnapped.

Yeah, right at her wedding. They just came up behind her, slipped a blindfold over her and walked her out (though it seems they are really bad at blinding someone as she didn't walk into the few poles they tried to lead her in to).

The suspects? Well the ring leader looks a lot like Bride of Frankenstein

There is another one with blond hair in a wedding dress and leather jacket and another looks like she just got out of a scrap and had her dress torn.

The last one appears to have just gotten off work at a vet clinic.

What should we do? Just sit down and color while you handle it? Okay, we can do that.

We just got in these ransom pictures. It appears to our forensics office that the bride was kidnapped to a local Doc Johns probably to embarrass the shit out of her.

Here the culprits proceeded to drag her around the store, pointing and giggling. They may have at one point had a store employee show off one of their vibration machines. Perhaps they finished the crime off by buying her some "things" for the wedding night.

So, do we prosecute?

No, it seems she was delivered back in time for the end of her reception. Let's just call it case closed and go get some coffee.

Ceremony pro pics

Here are a few of the professional ceremony pictures from Sisters Photography that aren't the okay stand the bride and groom up and change everyone behind them. Everyone has to do them (especially to appease parents) and everyone has seen basically the same thing.

So instead here are the pictures at the ceremony of us being ourselves.

This is a posed picture, but I swear to God both of those guys make the exact same faces in regular life.
I just love my tall flowergirl. My best friend and I are kinda goofy sometimes, she sure loves the rabbit ears.

I love this picture as she's smiling just as bright as ever but as you go down you can see that she's shifting her feet in her shoes just like a little kid."Okay Dad, now you got to take a right. What do you mean you're at the airport? How the hell did you wind up there?"I call this my "I am waiting for a bus" pose. It'll be all the rage in weddings soon, trust me.Help, my neck is being eaten by flora! Get the roundup! We had a few write ins for the ring bearer after a failed nap and some anxiety disorder.I so badly wanted a picture of me and my friends. While I had a relatively small party some of my good friends filled what some would think as less glamorous roles because they wanted to (IE why I had a 21 year old flower girl and someone on guestbook). And just because they weren't bridesmaids or have to get special dresses didn't mean I did not want some pictures with them. We're still waiting on the reception ones, which I am sure are way more fascinating (I think there's a picture of me drawing on my tall flower girls boob).

A pro pic sneak peak

We just got our professional pictures in yesterday and while I've been fighting with photobucket to get them uploaded I've flipped through some but still have to pick which ones I like best.

I do have a few little sneak peaks to show you all though (I'm sure you're just thrilled at this point. In fact I bet you woke up thinking, God I hope I get to see more wedding pictures from someone who's already posted all of theirs).

And since on can only take so much sap on a lazy Sunday morning, here's a fun candid shot where it looks like someone killed the bride. I'm actually leaning back trying to get a hold of an unhappy toddler but I like the other story much better.

We still have to wait on a bunch of the reception pictures, which I'm sure you're all much more excited about.

The first of some wedding prawn

Somewhere around oh the Wednesday before the wedding I suddenly had a great idea.

"Hey it's supposed to be gorgeous on Sunday (at the time the weather man claimed it was gonna be cold and rainy on 'W' day). Why don't we take some pretty outside pictures here before leaving on our honeymoon?"

Here in this case is the part of the University campus that both me and my guy currently work at and where we went to school. It has some gorgeous nature going on and lots of other people take pictures here (I can't tell you the number of times as an undergrad I'd run into a crazy lady with a huge camera trying to tell a high school senior to pose or a huge platoon of wedding people).

But rather than have our pros take them I thought we'd both be a lot more relaxed having our good friend (and the Tall flower girl) take them. It gave us both a chance to act goofy and make funny faces. Luckily nature did a lot of the work at making it look purdy.

So over the next few days-ish I'll share the story of our little extra photoshoot.
I started out messing around with the camera and took a picture of my guy:
And then he tried to take a picture of me. We could pretend we were trying to be all arty in hiding my face with my hair but in reality it was just windy.

Luckily, then our photographer showed up. Thank God.

The first picture we took, we found the fallest looking tree and made out under it.

Then we went to a gazebo and tried a few random poses. Yes my guy makes that face a lot and yes it always makes me laugh.

Neither of us know what we're doing but it sure looks like fun. And if you're wondering about his shoes, I told him that he should just wear his sneakers so he'd be comfy rather than in the crappy tux shoes.

I love the secluded feel of this one, as though we're the only two in the world (well if you ignore the peeping tom taking pictures).

I play with his hair, a lot. I don't even think this was a pose, it probably just happened.

I though I'd leave you with the most Introverted picture of all. In fact this might even make a good new banner. Hm. . .

More to come tomorrow and more stories of how it all went.
