Smells like a Wedding Part 2

Yesterday I was super happy to receive my other plan for Reception smells.

I was thinking that since we're having a nice simple ceremony it made sense to have a pretty nice floral perfume, but for the super fun spooky reception I needed a more falloween scent.

In enters PixiePotions and their Falloween Halloween scents.

There was a huge list to choose from and I picked for my three:

Bonfire- Described as "a gorgeous scent which smells like a bonfire. With notes of wood and light down of raspberry and vanilla." And it really smells to me of this:
It's amazing how much it reminds one of a bonfire without having the smell of burning paper. It's one of those that has to be put on the skin to be really appreciated as your body warms it up.

The second one I picked was a bit more complicated than the other two as I figured what the hell I'll go outside my box a bit:

Black Cat-"Exotic. Sensual and luxurious. Notes of Saffron, Masala Spices, Clove, Nutmeg, Pimento Berries, White Pepper, Mediterranean Broom Flower, Patchouli, Crimson Red Marechal Rose, Ethiopian Guggal Incense, Wengue Wood, Bois de Miel." This one makes me think of this:It has enough of an exotic scent to seem foreign and new without being really out there. Some of the undernotes also put me in mind of that special tree smell you get in fall. I'd say this is best used for when you want to be a bit different from the rest and is perfect for Halloween.

The last one is the one me and my guy (he's so good at dealing with my weird obsession with smelling things) picked for the reception:

Apples & Oak: "Blend of McIntosh and Granny Smith apples, with notes of woodsy fresh oak leaves and oakmoss." To me this smells like:
There is at first a really good apple scent that smells less of grocery store apples and more of an old apple tree a friend had growing up. We'd pick those things for ages and eat them til we were ready to burst.

If you do have any interest in these I do have one caveat emptor, I ordered these back at the end of August and just got them now. I doubt you'd get them in time for a real Halloween wedding or even Halloween party this year, but if you have any interest in them for next year I'd recommend them whole heartedly (just be prepared for waiting a long time).

I also ordered another little sample pack from another seller on etsy and I may do another review of them when I receive them.

That is so interesting.A while back I used to work in a higher end store here in Canada called Fruits & Passion(feel free to copy/paste it into your Google search) that had many wonderful natural fragrances that ranged from fruity (obviously) to woodsy. It is nice to find that scent that suits you and the time of year it is!

Awww :) I am honored and love the way you reviewed them. Thank you!

Sorry for the delay in your perfumes. In my defense I have been ill since last Autumn and am just getting straightened away :D I've been doing really well *giggle* I promise it won't take me a month or a year should you order again!
