Baby = Flowers

When my friend had her first baby I tried to talk someone else into splitting a bouquet of flowers to send to her.

Well the person shot me down and we don't talk anymore (not because of that, though it'd make my life easier if it were). This time there was no way I wasn't gonna not send flowers.

So I scoured the Internet looking for just the right selection, something bright and yellow with hopefully lots of daisies (her favorite). I finally found one I thought was just about perfect (no idea what's up with the lemons):
Now the trick is to get them to be home when Mr. Delivery man stops by. Shesh, hospitals these days not dismissing mothers as soon as the kid pops out. What's up with that?

This little one sure looks like he's ready to go home and enjoy some beautiful flowers. I'm assuming that's why everyone always traditionally sends flowers after someone has a baby, so the kid has something to look at while bored out of his mind at the hospital.

Maybe the next time someone I know has a baby I'll send her a DVD season of her favorite show to keep her entertained for the days she's stuck there.

Even though the flowers are beautiful, I do have to say that adorable little baby wins the show! Now how precious is that bundle of joy! :)

Does the lemon come with the flowers you are having delivered?

The flowers are lovely. I'm sure your friend will love them, and the baby is adorable!

I just heard from my friend and apparently it came with cut up lemon in the vases water. I have no idea why, or if it's supposed to help the plants.

But I'd be worried the lower pH would kill them faster. Maybe adding sugar would change it.
