The worst thing about inspiration is that it will strike at the most inopportune times (for me it's usually just as I'm about to fall asleep. Inspiration is a real bastard like that).
Remember that cardinal I painted a while back? Bright red? In a tree? Blue background? Nice picture that turned out well. There was just one problem, I painted it on paper and not canvas.
So I sat down and attempted to repaint the picture to a different size using different paint colors. It was actually a lot easier than I thought it would be.
Here's the original on paper:
And here's the new one on canvas. The canvas is actually square so some branches went bye bye, but I could make the cardinal bigger to humor my husband:
And just to prove it really is on canvas this time, here's a bottom shot:
Good to know I can get a good mass production going on of birds in trees. So how many can I put you down for? You know there's a tax break if you order more than 1,000.
I'll just leave some reading material here for you and you can talk with our sales rep later.

Such a good job Sabrina. I love it!
haha, well when i open up a shop, i will wholesale those suckers for ya. i like the second even more!
I do have to admit, I like the bird a little larger too (but you don't have to tell your husband)! LOL
I really like this one! I love cardinals - we have a cardinal couple that comes to eat out of our birdfeeder. This is the second year. I had to tell my husband that in much of the animal kingdom it is the MALE who has to "dress up" and look pretty for the female!
Oh, and LOL about decorating the painting!!! I'm just going to try and find a really cool frame for it, and prop it up next to my bed so I can look at it often. I don't know that that takes special skills. I'm tellin' ya, if you're in a bragging contest about what you can do, "decorating pretty" doesn't win many awards or gain you much respect!
Oooh it came out great in canvas! You have a talent!!!
(Cardinals are one of my favorite birds)
Too bad I can't place the large order you require!!
hee hee
This is my favorite of the art you have posted so far.
I always hesitate showing my husband any of my writing or photography because 9/10 he says something critical before he says anything complimentary.
