Picture a Day - Day 188

Today's post is brought to you by the letter "I" and the number "2". Let's give a big round of applesauce for I2 ladies and gentlemen. Bingo!

There's a lot we're not going to miss about our apartment --sagging kitchen, dead fuses, drunk college students that piss in the hallway-- but it will be hard for us to say goodbye to our newly adopted pet, Boris.

He's great around the house, eating up all the annoying gnats that congregate around the plants and stopping for a second to pose for pictures.
At one point on Saturday he even crawled on top of my husbands web cam and took a little nap. I figured he was just teleconferencing with his relatives in Africa. Image how freaky it'd be to be talking to someone and then have a huge spider crawl across the lens. (I know, I know. The Simpson's already did it.)

It'll be hard letting Boris go (and yes he's named after The Who song, now I name all spider's Boris thanks to that) but I don't think he'd like being caught just to be transported to a new house. So at some point we'll have to shoo his big hairy butt out the door so he can enjoy the smorgasbord outside.

And for everyone freaked out by spiders how about a giant killer lady bug?He was crawling around on the windscreen of the car and I took a few pictures before he took flight when we stopped.

Looks like something out of a 1950's B-movie. Attack of the Killer Lady Bug: No aphid is safe.

Does anyone else find insects and other creepy crawlies kinda interesting? Do you like to spend a few minutes just watching them crawl/creep/fly around? Anyone got their own pet spider named Boris?

And yes I do in fact realize I am incredibly weird, but what can ya do?

Yech!! We don't have a spider named Borris, but for a while we had the entire army from the movie ANTZ, too many to name though. Hopefully, currently they are in ANTZ Heaven! :)

The ants moved to my house. We're in the process of evicting them right now.

When I was a kid I would collect bugs in old butter containers. I miss collecting bugs. Tai's not a fan of the creepy crawlers.

Is Boris in the top right hand of the first picture? If so, he's really big and that would creep me out.

I'm actually not a huge fan of ladybugs - they used to come to my childhood bedroom to die. Not cool.

Your Borris is huge! Lol. In high school I found a teeny tiny spider in my locker who was the size of a pinhead. I named him Winston. We shared a locker for about a semester before he vanished.
