Picture a Day - Day 305

I'm not much of a drinker, in fact I have never been drunk in my entire life (it's really fascinating apparently my body has a buzzkill built right in for as soon as I've had too much I get really hot and uncomfortable and don't want to go near a drop of alcohol for a few days).

But last year my husband stumbled across a beer that even I a strict white wine and margarita boring boozer adores.

It's a seasonal thing, so I've been waited on baited wings hoping for a glimpse of this rare beer ambrosia.

I had hope as a few weeks back I saw Mrs. Newlywed posting about it but a few trips to the grocery store only yielded a bag of apples and a stick of jerky (I had a wild idea on how to power a balloon).

Then yesterday, after a big bad no fun day there is was in its orange box glory:What I love about it is that it tastes like a pumpkin. There's some cinnamon and nutmeg in there too giving it an almost not sweet pumpkin pie taste. Sounds weird I know, but it's a wonderful fall joy.

Is there any seasonal adult beverage (I love how liquor is called adult beverages, like you should be putting little straws in foil pouches full of vodka) that you love? Anyone else know of a really good pumpkin beer?

I've only had pumpkin beer once and I didn't like it. I'll have to try this one since it seems like more of a harvest beer. That other one just said pumpkin on it.

I highly, highly recommend the Dogfish Head Punkin beer. Hands down, it's the best pumpkin beer I've tried. It's amazing.

I have never had pumpkin beer, but that sounds interesting....where do you get it. I am mostly a wine drinker, but a modelo especial is nice once in a while (a Spanish beer that is similar to corona light, but way better)! :)
